ok for these picture i just simple followed the tutorials in the book. the girl with the blue sky behind her really didn't turn out the way i wanted for some reason she just looks extremely weird and kind a like she has a very bad fake tan.

Midterm

My topic for the midterm collage is about beauty within models. i feel that natural beauty is more attractive then fake or altered beauty thru photoshop or other programs. majority of people today look to models for their style and looks in ads. yet in the years before there were computers and programs, that can alter the appearance of people look, back then there was only natural beauty and make-up.

I feel that people should look towards older models then our now a day models. I feel that we should change our standards of appearance to way lower. As humans we strive to be perfect, to have the most perfect skin the best looking skin and much more. I feel that everyone should just be comfortable in their own skin and look towards inner beauty and not to outer body appearances. Yet, they(people) should see that models do take it too far to be theses perfect beings, and battling many self conflicts, just like older models.

My midterm collage on, the model and actress, Edie Sedgwick. Sedgwick was popular during the nineteen sixties, she hung out with pop-cultures Andy Warhol. she was in many of his film and art pieces. when Warhol photographed Sedgwick there was nothing altered. Sedgwick’s photos were raw and perfect. The message I’m trying to get across is to see how models were beautiful for who they were and not by standards like the standards we have today.

well the first pic on here of the older man and younger guy holding their arms up in confusion was the first part o the lesson which i just followed step by step in the book. but with the second pic on here which is called "love like winter" which is the title of a song from the band AFI. love like winter is one of my favorite songs of the album decemberunderground. first i found a pict the represent winter and in the stock pics that Mr. Rascov sent i found a picture of both a couple in love(?) and in the snow. so it just fitted very well so i duotone the pic and created the lettering.

so for homework number five the lesson was on mask. all i did was follow the lesson in the book with the same picture as the book and once i had it own i went back and tried it again but with a picture of a giraffe and stars.

For the first picture of the girl in the purple hoodie i just followed the tutorial in the book oneonone and i came up with this picture. then i tried it with my own picture. the picture i choice was of a concert that i had gone to back in 08. it was a Rihanna concert. so i followed the tutorial just like the first image just changed the colors and came up with this green like money pic. hense the name Rihanna Dolla.

so for the duetone assignment I created this zombie picture. me and my friends were a music video by the limousines. first i found a stock image of a forest. then after used the magic wand and cut out all the people after i grey scaled them all. then once i placed all the zombies in the spots that i felt were good i did the duetone option and as the second base color i choice a blue cause i felt it made the pic more gloomy and dark.
